Ski Jumping - World Cup Nizhny Tagil (RUS)

Anze Semenic achieved a Top 10 result for our team on Saturday evening in Russia with his great ninth place. This was a career-best for the Slovene! Only 17-year-old Timi Zajc came in on an amazing 12th place in his first individual World Cup competition. Jernej Damjan finished 18th, Will Rhoads was 21st, Clemens Aigner 24th and Stefan Hula 27th.
In Sunday's competition in Nizhny Tagil, Jernej Damjan was the best Red Eagle in tenth. Stephan Leyhe finished 17th, followed by Halvor Egner Granerud in 18th, Clemens Aigner, Anze Semenic and Timi Zajc were not far behind those two in 20th, 21st and 22nd. Vincent Descombes Sevoie and Will Rhoads also qualified for the final round and came in 27th and 29th.
Ski Jumping - Ladies World Cup Lillehammer (NOR)

In the first competition for the ladies this winter Ursa Bogataj was our best athlete in tenth. She was the only one of our team to qualify for the final round on Friday evening.
On Saturday, Lucile Morat was our best Red Eagle in eleventh, Ursa Bogataj came in 14th this time.
Only the Top 30 in the current overall World Cup were allowed to participate in the large hill event on Sunday. Ursa Bogataj showed a very good performance and finished eighth and Lucile Morat was 14th.
Nordic Combined - World Cup Lillehammer (NOR)
Jan Schmid and his Norwegian teammates took the win in Saturday's team event in front of their home crowd. Antoine Gerard came in on a great third place with France, Ondrej Pazout was eighth with the Czech Republic, Bryan Fletcher and Ben Berend finished ninth with Team USA.
Jan Schmid achieved yet another podium result this season in second on Sunday. Antoine Gerard came in on a good 12th place, Harald Riiber was third after the ski jumping part and came in 27th overall.
