Competing for the SPORT 2000 Team this weekend:
Ski Jumping - World Cup Zakopane (POL)

The weekend in the Polish ski jumping mecca of Zakopane started with a team competition on Saturday. There Stefan Hula could celebrate the home win with the Polish team, Stephan Leyhe finished second with Germany and Marius Lindvik, who made his debut in a team event, came in third with Norway. Ziga Jelar, Anze Semenic and Timi Zajc were sixth with Slovenia.
A day after all the podium finishes for our Red Eagles, Anze Semenic achieved his first ever win in in the World Cup with an impressive performance on the Wielka Krokiew hill. Stefan Hula was in the lead after the first round and came in fourth overall, Marius Lindvik finished eighth. For both of them this was a career-best result. Halvor Egner Granerud came in ninth and also achieved a great result on Sunday. Stephan Leyhe was 13th and Clemens Aigner 26th.
Ski Jumping - Continental Cup Sapporo (JPN)

In the first competition of the weekend, which was held on the normal hill, our best athlete was Tom Hilde in 17th, closely followed by Andreas Granerud Buskum in 18th.
On the large hill on Saturday, Tom Hilde did a lot better and came in on the great third place.
Tom Hilde was once again the best of the Red Eagles on Sunday, this time he came in fourth. Przemyslaw Kantyka could score some points for the first time this weekend in 23rd.
Ski Jumping - Ladies World Cup Ljubno (SLO)
In the first event in front of their home crowd in Ljubno Ursa Bogataj came in 12th and Jerneja Brecl was 27th.
For Ursa Bogataj the weekend of the home World Cup ended with an 11th place on Sunday afternoon.
Nordic Combined - World Cup Seefeld (AUT)
In the first event of the Nordic Combined Triple with one jump and a 5 km race, Jan Schmid finished fourth, only a couple of seconds behind the podium.
On Saturday, in a competition with one jump and a 10 km race, Jan Schmid repeated his fourth place, once again closely missing the podium.
In the final event of the Nordic Combined Triple on Sunday (2 jumps, 15 km race), Jan Schmid was third after the jumping and came in seventh.
