Competing for the SPORT 2000 Team this weekend:
Ski Jumping - World Cup Willingen (GER)
Halvor Egner Granerud
On Saturday evening, Stefan Hula was the best Red Eagle on a very good sixth place, Anze Semenic, Stephan Leyhe, Timi Zajc and Halvor Egner Granerud came in on the places 15 to 17 and Jernej Damjan finished 24th.
In the final event before the upcoming Olympics, Stefan Hula, who was only 23rd after the first round, could move up to 12th overall with a great final jump, Jernej Damjan and Anze Semenic came in 14th and 15th, Stephan Leyhe was 18th on his home hill, followed by Halvor Egner Granerud in 19th. Alex Insam was 25th.
Ski Jumping - Continental Cup Planica (SLO)
Andraz Pograjc was our best athlete in the first competiton in Planica in seventh, Jurij Tepes came in 14th in front of the home crowd.
In Sunday's competition Jurij Tepes did a great job and came in second, Andraz Pograjc finished tenth and Przemyslaw Kantyka was 19th.
Nordic Combined - World Cup Hakuba (JPN)
Jan Schmid was our best in Saturday's event with another podium finish in second. Harald Riiber came in 12th after his was fifth in the jumpign part, Ben Berend and Paul Gerstgraser also scored World Cup points in 23rd and 28th.
On Sunday, Jan Schmid could celebrate already his third win this season. Harald Riiber was third in the jumping part and finished seventh, Paul Gerstgraser was 23rd, followed by Adam Loomis in 24th.
Nordic Combined - Continental Cup Planica (SLO)
On Saturday afternoon, our Red Eagle Bryan Fletcher could take the win in the first competition of the weekend in the Planica Nordic Center.
Bryan Fletcher then did just as well on Sunday and took his second win in a row.
